"The Sophisticate" Gypsy Box
I started my gypsy box collection with boxes made from old books and have now expanded with wooden cigar boxes in a variety of sizes.  Some are tall, like "The Sophisticate" (above) and suitable for treasurers or a recipe collection.  Others are flat traditional cigar box shapes suitable for stationary, remote controls, jewelry and other keepsakes.  Several of those shown were commissioned gift boxes and card sets coordinated with the box design.  The boxes are generally sold empty.
