| One way to get a feel for the often confusing action that occurred at Chickamauga is to follow the movements of a particular unit across both day's battles. I chose one union regiment that was heavily engaged both days, one confederate battery that was in the middle of Longstreet's breakthrough, and Sam Watkins, author of Company Aytch. Each makes for an interesting hike. |
